Firstly, that’s what we’d call a good pop record. Catchy, relatable, bright and uplifting: ‘Josephine’ fits all the right boxes, conquering the listeners with powerful vocals and a fresh production. Secondly, the song also represents a rather truthful offering for TYA, molding the track into a gender-euphoric and queer anthem. In it, the Canadian talent seeks to express the joy of daydreaming about someone, instantly and unexpectedly.
