On Rotation: Perdurabo Shares Enlightened Piece ‘Cast Stones’
Frequently on stage with seminal Italian rock outfit Marlene Kuntz, Davide Arneodo is first and foremost a talented multi-instrumentalist, a sonic visionary with a knack for cinematic compositions and haunting lyricism. Know globally as Perdurabo, he’s got us used to hypnotising electro pieces, kaleidoscopic and intense tracks balanced between electro-pop and leftfield territories. Echoing the likes of Apparat, among others, the project calls Berlin and Turin its home, both crucial cities for the European electronic music scene.
Now, Perdurabo unveils his third single to date, ‘Cast Stones’, a stunning and eclectic journey powered by bright, glitchy synthetisers, dark and spacious vocals, creepy soundscapes and ever-evolving drum beats. A quirky and unique journey, the song offers listeners a listening experience like no other, a chance for a cathartic exploration of dreams and consciousness.
Taken from upcoming debut album ‘Magnetar’ and featuring vocals from Miro Shot’s frontman Roman Rappak, ‘Cast Stones’ seeks to shine a light on problematic inner city life, from the 2017 Grenfell Tower tragedy to the recent passing of two-year-old Awaab Ishak due to mould in his house.
