There’s something unique about the eclectic and haunting character in Patryk Kania’s music. The sonic experience is rather vintage and nostalgic, with the Belfast resident finding his artistic identity between minimalistic electro-pop, indie styling and new-wave formulas. The result is an irresistible goo of alternative musical energy, perhaps sharing a certain lo-fi vibe too. Written with long-time collaborator Kevin Buster, ‘Gin Mill Club’ is Kania’s latest effort, showcasing everything we mentioned above.

Furthermore, the record reveals Patrick’s nuanced and evocative vocals, quite polite and understated, but with big charisma and a surprising tone. Taken from the project’s upcoming album, ‘Gin Mill Club’ is an appealing and catchy record, one of the standouts of our summer so far.

Describing the lyricism behind the song, Kania explains: “The Gin Mill Club was a place where I would lose myself often. The music would get so loud and the vodka would hit so hard that both my mind and my body would become numb. After all, it was a party – one that never seemed to end.”
