NICKON FAITH - Visions

Emerging from Manchester, young British producer Nickon Faith has been on the rise for a while, thanks to a sound that feels as energetic as it is mesmerising. That’s particularly true for his latest record, ‘Visions’, a fantastic blend of IDM, Trance and leftfield electronica, merging into an evocating, hypnotising and poignant goo.

From the opener track, ‘Visions’, it is clear that the pace has been slowed down. Instead of pursuing fast BPM, Nickon Faith focuses on relatable and emotional soundscapes, taking the listener through an ethereal sonic journey. ‘In Bloom’ continues in the same direction, albeit with more groove and punch. Tribal percussions meet bright arpeggiator and filtered sweeps, all dancing together in a euphoric musical soup.

‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ closes the record with a certain UK Garage flair, with the addition of sampled vocals. Released via Troubleshoot Recordings, it is clear that ‘Visions’ is a big step for Faith's career, who makes a definite artistic statement. Stay tuned.
