Penned by Nicholas Dante, popstar in the making, ‘Topsy Turvy’ benefits from a collaboration with Zhone, talented producer with credits from the likes of Alex Chapman, Kim Petras and Charli XCX, among others. Dante’s vocals are the focus point though, so charming and evocative, really embracing the listener into a vortex of sensual energy and introspective lyricism.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Topsy Turvy’, Dante explains: “I originally wrote this track during quarantine, I felt like I was stuck in a dark state of mind and that there wasn’t really anything fun to escape to. So in return, I dreamt of a time after quarantine where everyone could go out and do as they please freely.”
