Liam J Edwards, a rising star in Wales' lively music industry, released their highly anticipated sophomore EP, 'Unnecessarily Complicated: The Epilogue,' on October 27, 2023. Following the success of their 2021 EP, 'The Prologue,' this new release is proof of two years of relentless effort. It commemorates the highs and lows, the love and grief they faced on their path as a young, creative LGBTQ artist.

This EP, named 'Unnecessarily Complicated: The Epilogue,' is inspired by Liam's experiences with support and difficulty while making music. It digs deeply into their self-love journey, highlighting interactions with turbulent emotions and terrible situations.

Reflecting on their journey, Liam shares, "Like many other queer individuals, I've encountered hate both online and offline for merely existing, especially as a musician promoting myself on the internet. Despite the negativity, I've channeled my pain into creating music and discovering new ways to love myself. Every day, I see progress, and I take immense pride in that."

The EP boasts an array of captivating tracks that showcase Liam's musical prowess and resilience.

  • 'Rather Get High' 'Rather Get High' is an emotionally charged track that has already amassed over 30,000 streams. It's a powerful song that resonates with those who have faced adversity, using pain as a catalyst for personal growth.

  • 'Please' 'Please' is a musical representation of shedding toxic influences. It serves as a reminder that sometimes, we must let go of negativity to make space for positivity and self-improvement.

  • 'Progress' 'Progress' is a testament to transforming doubt into power and love. It reflects the journey of self-discovery and self-love.

  • 'Bitter (Love Me Better)' 'Bitter (Love Me Better)' is a pure pop expression of self-sufficiency and happiness. This catchy and empowering track reminds us of the importance of self-love and independence.
