Hi Jess, welcome to AFX. Please describe your music project, we are keen to know more!

Hi! I've just released my third single 'Prince Charming (Went to Hell)' and it's available on all streaming platforms. The song is all about that fairytale dream-like love we grew up on and depicts the imperfections of dating in the real world.

What was the role of music in the early years of your life?

It was an escape for me, even before I started writing. I've always been involved in choirs, musical performances, dance shows, piano concerts. I just love the way it makes me feel and just listening to a good song is like therapy to me.

What would you say is your greatest strength as a singer/musician?

My biggest strength is I love what I do, I can handle constructive criticism very well and it drives me to work even harder.

Do any of your songs based on personal experiences? If so, can you tell me about one that’s particularly special to you?

Everything I write comes straight for the heart. My latest release 'Prince Charming (Went to Hell)' was written after I realised I was trying to fit in and be someone I wasn't in hopes of finding love, I was trying to be perfect and was expecting others to be perfect, like the prince charmings we grew up on watching. And this song is about accepting ourselves for who we are.

How well do you know the music industry and its current trends?

I'm following it closely, I love the new artists that have recently come about since lockdown 2020. Such as, Caity Baser, Mimi Webb and Tate McRae. I love what they're doing and how fresh they are, I also take inspiration from how they went viral on TikTok. I'm always listening to music and analysing what hits harder than other songs.

What’s been your favourite moment or achievement as an artist so far?

I did a huge performance with dancers and tracks I produced, a live drummer, lights and backdrops. It was honestly the coolest thing I've ever done and I felt like I was Beyonce or Ariana Grande for a second and hope to do another gig soon.

Are you working on any new music or planning anything exciting that we can look forward to?

Yes! Always! More songs to come in 2024, I slowed it down with this release but I'm bringing it back up with my next song, expect big drops, music videos and lots of dancing.
