German producer DJ Snudi and American singer Sadie recently collaborated to release their latest track, “Hit The Ground.” Overall, it’s a simple, yet uplifting, high-energy track that was perfectly released for the spring and summer months. Like many of today's best collaborations, the two artists met online, showing music knows no borders.

The song focuses on the main lyric, which is found in the upbeat chorus, “Will you stay around, until I hit the ground?” This line shines thanks in part to Sadie’s clean and clear vocal performance, which might bring to mind other EDM vocalists, such as Daya and Becky Hill. While the track is focused on the beat, these lyrics show the emotion behind the song; wanting to know if someone will still be there for you during tough times. Alongside the upbeat production, the lyrics are thoughtful, honest, and even a little vulnerable at times in the accompanying versus. Throughout all parts of the song and within every lyric, Sadie’s voice adds to this sincerity, helping the message hit home.

Like many of DJ Snudi’s previous releases, the production is clean and modern, with a fun EDM mix to it as well. There’s a nice mix of light beats and gentle background vocals that make the release sound like a classic hit from the summer of 2016. DJ Snudi has created an airy and bright sound that makes the track an easy listen for fans of EDM, pop, or even singer-songwriter music.

All in all, “Hit The Ground” is a strong debut collaboration between these two. It’s full of danceable beats, fun melodies, and the perfect amount of emotion for a summer pop/EDM track. Both artists clearly bring their own strengths to the track and we’re hoping that these two collaborate again in the future.
