Boasting a strong DIY aesthetic, chloe spider doesn’t fit mainstream moulds or classic artistic formula. Rather, she seems to be making her own way, navigating through dance-laden electronica and pop lyricism while maintaining a seemingly relatable song structure. Imagine a blend between garage, drum and bass, lo-fi and electro-pop. That’s how chloe spider sounds like. Comfortable with both long soundscapes and razor-sharp beats, the project seems to rejoice in eclecticism.

Emerging from Britain, the young newcomer is certainly talented. Latest effort ‘untitled’ is perhaps the strongest evidence of it. In it, the listener will engage in liquid D&B and ethereal vocals, all packaged in a long-length tune, at least by the standard of the project.

Describing the writing process, chloe spider explains: “As production went on and layers of sound were stacked, I found a sense of euphoria and peace in the track that transcended beyond the words. I really wanted to incorporate liquid drum and bass into my song. I wanted something uplifting, yet still with the ambient, chillness that I have weaved throughout my music.”
