Returning with a single sure to capture the attention of both seasoned EDM listeners and casual fans of club-ready music, the dance project Astralix has released its latest single, “Lost and Found”. With vocal contributions from collaborator Melena, and instrumentation courtesy of The Manic Emotions (Chris Zoupa and Gary Dranow), “Lost and Found” rides its middle-of-the-road appeal to a smooth, cool high. While there certainly is a dance-heavy base to the song, its infectious rhythm being anchored by a wavy, bassy kick, this is still very much a song rooted in fairly standard pop songwriting, made for radio play rather than nightclub play. The group is therefore providing a more melodic, anthemic type of EDM to the scene, one that would’ve been right at home with a lot of the biggest pop-EDM producers of the 2010s (Avicii, etc.)

That’s to say nothing of the vocal contribution from Melena, a stunning performance that captures the varying highs and lows of a love story, meant to show that true love is not about keeping things good forever and ever, but being able to work through the hard times to achieve something truly blissful. With all three collaborators firing on all cylinders, “Lost and Found” is a radio-ready dance hit.
