ARO - Let Me Go

Hailing from Los Angeles, ARO is a force of nature: not only because of the lyrical metaphor contained in his latest effort ‘Let Me Go’, but also for her masterful musicianship skills. From fabulous and relatable songwriting, drenched in introspection and fragility, to evocative, elegant vocals, able to command the listeners’ attention almost instantly. Everything screams success, and frankly, we expect ARO to grow steadily into a pop pillar.

Built on modern electro-pop tones, ‘Let Me Go’ flourishes on arpeggiated synthetisers, spacious drums and bright soundscapes, giving the record a certain ethereal quality. ARO’s vocal tone is hypnotising, able to dissolve itself in a thousand harmonies or in a charming lead part.

Lyrically, ‘Let Me Go’ explores love and heartbreak from the perspective of a saboteur, relating her own destructive tendencies to the chaotic forces of nature. Speaking about the record, ARO explains: “This song (Let Me Go) is one of the first songs I wrote, about a year ago. I never had any intentions of producing it or sharing it, and I think that’s what makes this start of my music career feel so special right now. I started off just creating for myself.”

Some of ARO’s greatest inspirations include her favorite artists: Halsey, Banks, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, and King Princess.
